Jammu Weather: A fresh western disturbance is currently active and impacting the northern and the western Himalayan region. It has caused fresh spell of snow and rain in states like Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Weather is undergoing transition in several parts of the country. Delhi has started to experience warmer days. While there has been rise in maximum temperatures in mainland, cold is still lingering Jammu and Kashmir. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted light to moderate rainfall and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.
J&K Weather Update: Forecast For 3 March & Ahead
Regional Met department has issued yellow alert for Jammu and Kashmir division on 3rd March. IMD in its press release, stated that isolated heavy rainfall/snowfall accompanied with thunderstorm and lightning will occur in Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad on Monday.
3rd March: The sky will remain cloudy with light to moderate rain in Srinagar, Jammu, Muzafarabad and Mirpur. Rain is likely to lash parts of Jammu and Kashmir on 4th and 5th March.


According to Met Srinagar’s observation, day temperature has slightly Increased by 5 to 08 ℃ in many parts of the state during past 24 hours.
Jammu (23.4.6℃), Mirpur (24.0℃), Kathua (24.0℃), Muzaffarabad (23.0℃), Kukernag (10.2℃), and Srinagar (12.0℃), recorded highest among others.
It further stated that night temperature has increased by 00 to 03 ℃ over many parts of J&K during past 24 hours.
Lowest minimum temperature was recorded in Bhaderwah (0.9℃), Banihal (1.9℃) Gulmarg (-7.5℃), Pahalgam (-4.70 c) and Kupwara (-1.20c). However, no precipitation was observed over Jammu and Kashmir in past 24 hours.
