J&K: Six Killed In Terror Attack In Ganderbal, CM Omar Abdullah Condemns ‘Dastardly’ Act

The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, has strongly condemned the attack, labeling it as "dastardly and cowardly."

Ganderbal, Jammu & Kashmir: A horrific incident occurred in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday, where a doctor and five construction workers were killed by terrorists at a construction site in Gagangir, officials said.

The incident occurred after terrorists opened fire on a group of labourers as they returned to their camp in the Gund area, according to reports. The police and army have cordoned off the place to track down the assailants.

The Kashmir Zone Police verified the terror attack in a post on X, stating, “Terror incident in Gagangeer, Ganderbal Area cordoned off by security forces. Further details shall follow.”

The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, has strongly condemned the attack, labeling it as “dastardly and cowardly.”

In a statement on X, CM Abdullah said, “Praying that the injured make a full recovery as the more seriously injured are being referred to SKIMS, Srinagar.”

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has also condemned the ‘heinous’ terrorist attack on civilians in Gagangirm, assuring the public that those behind this despicable act will be strictly punished. He wrote on X, “Our brave personnel are on the ground and they will ensure terrorists pay a hefty price for their action. I offer my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured. The nation stands in solidarity with the families in this hour of grief.”
