Shrinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday handed over the letter of appointment to Sunita Sharma, widow of civilian Sanjay Sharma, who was killed in the terror attack on 26 February this year in Achan area of Pulwama district of Kashmir.
He was a security guard in a bank.
Handing the appointment letter to the widow at Raj Bhavan, Sinha also assured the bereaved family of all possible help and cooperation. According to officials Sanjay Sharma was a security guard at a bank, terrorists opened fire on him when he was going to a local market at Achan in Pulwama district. He was taken to the hospital but he succumbed to bullet injuries.
Earlier this month, five soldiers of the Indian Army’s Rashtriya Rifles were killed in an ambush in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir. According to Army, a vehicle carrying the jawans caught fire after terrorists attacked it.
