Jammu-Kashmir Assembly Election 2024: After a lengthy and contentious election battle in Jammu & Kashmir, the results for the Nowshera assembly constituency are finally out.

Jammu and Kashmir BJP President Ravinder Raina faced a crushing defeat by a wide margin of 7,819 votes against National Conference (NC) candidate Surinder Choudhary. According to the ECI data, Surinder Choudhary won with 35,069 votes, while BJP’s Ravinder Raina secured 27,250 votes.

Who Is Surinder Choudhary?

Surinder Choudhary is an Indian politician belonging to the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC). He emerged victorious today by winning the Nowshera constituency seat. He earlier faced defeat by BJP’s Ravinder Raina after he secured 27,871 votes (36.92%) in the 2014 elections.
