The festival of the democracy—elections—has always been an extensive display of democratic, power, and public choices. A few days ago, two states held their democratic festival. Voters cast their votes in Maharashtra and Jharkhand on 20 November. Since then, all eyes have been on the results of the elections. Today, the counting began, and the much-awaited results will be out soon.
Maharashtra saw the tussle between the Mahayuti and MVA. Mahayuti is made up of the power and politics of BJP, NCP-Ajit Pawar, and Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena. Whereas, Maha Vikas Aghadi consists of Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress, and the NCP-Sharad Pawar. Maharashtra recorded a voting percentage of 65%, the highest since 1995.
Jharkhand has its prominent candidates, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, his wife Kalpana Soren, and his sister-in-law Sita Soren from the JMM. Whereas, BJP leaders in the second phase included former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi. Other political leaders on the battleground include assembly Speaker Ravindra Nath Mahto (JMM), AJSU Party chief Sudesh Mahto, and Leader of Opposition Amar Kumar Bauri.
The voting day brings reactions from all over the nation, this includes big political leaders and different candidates-As the countdown to the results continues, leaders across party lines are hopeful of their respective alliances securing victory in these crucial assembly elections.
Political leaders from both the ruling and opposition camps have reacted strongly ahead of the election results in Jharkhand and Maharashtra.

Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024: NCP workers beat dhols, dance and celebrate outside the residence of party chief and Deputy CM Ajit Pawar in Mumbai as official EC trends show Mahayuti forming the government in the state once again.
Mahayuti is leading on 217 seats (BJP 124, Shiv Sena 56, NCP 37), Ajit Pawar is leading in Baramati by a margin of 38,252 votes.

Ranchi: When asked if any 'precautions' would be taken to safeguard their MLAs, former State Congress chief Rajesh Thakur said, "Predators would come and lay a bait. We are prepared for that. Nobody would dare to do this in Jharkhand. CM Hemant Soren was jailed for destabilising the Government, even at that time we thwarted all such attempts. They should not dare to do this now. If they dare to do that, they would be given a betting reply." On JMM-led Mahagathbandhan's lead, he says, "This was bound to happen."

Jharkhand Election 2024: On counting for Jharkhand Election 2024, Congress incharge for the state Ghulam Ahmad Mir said "These are early trends, we have just entered 2-3 rounds of counting, there are approx 20 rounds of counting in total. In some places, we are leading and in others, we are trailing. We should wait till 2-3 PM, the number of seats and margin of votes for Congress will increase...In Dhanbad, which is considered the second-best capital after Ranchi, we are performing very well. Maharashtra: Deputy CM and BJP candidate from Nagpur South-West, at his residence in Mumbai as counting for Maharashtra Elections 2024 continue. As per official EC trends, Mahayuti is leading on 215 of the 288 seats in the state. Fadnavis is leading in his constituency by a margin of 12,329 votes.
