During a rally on Saturday in Bishrampur, Palamu district, Union Minister and BJP President JP Nadda pledged that, if the BJP comes to power in Jharkhand, it will safeguard the rights of local tribal communities and prevent children of “infiltrators” from gaining tribal status. Nadda declared, “Every Bangladeshi will be thrown out of Jharkhand,” adding that children of Bangladeshi fathers and tribal mothers would not be entitled to tribal rights or access to tribal lands.

Nadda criticized the Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) government, alleging that it shelters Bangladeshi infiltrators, and assured that a BJP-led government would expel such individuals after the elections.
Push for “Double-Engine” Government
The BJP president urged voters to replace the JMM-led “single-engine” government with the BJP’s “double-engine” model, promoting the latter as essential for comprehensive development in Jharkhand. “Time has come to oust the single-engine government and restore the double-engine government here for all-round development,” Nadda stated.

Amit Shah’s Criticism of JMM’s Alleged Infiltration Policies
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also spoke against the JMM, accusing it of “welcoming” Bangladeshi infiltrators who he claimed take over tribal land and jobs, posing a threat to local communities. Speaking at a rally in Potka, East Singhbhum, Shah vowed that, if the BJP wins, these “infiltrators” would be deported. Shah also addressed concerns around the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), clarifying that tribals would be excluded from its scope and that claims of it harming tribal rights were false narratives spread by the JMM and Congress.
Election Schedule
The Jharkhand Assembly elections will occur in two phases on November 13 and November 20, with vote counting scheduled for November 23.
