New Delhi: Not even a week has passed since Ankita from Jharkhand succumbed to her burn injuries, the state reported another case of violence against women. A 17-year old acid attack victim on Wednesday airlifted to Delhi under critical condition.
Kajal, the victim, was allegedly attacked by an eccentric lover on August 5. The accused Sandeep Bharati attacked Kajal and her mother while they were sleeping.
He poured acid on the girl who suffered severe burns on her body. The girl was rushed to the RIMS in Ranchi.

After the hospital referred the victim to Delhi, the Hemant Soren-led state government announced ordered to shift Kajal in an air ambulance.
The Deputy Commissioner of Chatra, Abu Imran informed that the accused have been arrested the same day.
