Jhansi Fire Incident: PM Modi, President Droupadi Murmu Condole Death Of Newborns, Calls It 'Heartbreaking'

At least 10 new born babies died and several suffered from injuries as fire breaks out at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of Jhansi Medical College. The incident took place on late Friday evening. According to officials there were 54 infants admitted to NICU ward.

PM Modi Pays ‘Condolences’ To Parents Who Lost Their Child

PMO India posted on their X handle, “Heartbreaking! The fire accident at Jhansi Medical College in Uttar Pradesh is heart wrenching. My deepest condolences to those who have lost their innocent children in this. I pray to God to give them the strength to bear this immense loss. The local administration, under the supervision of the state government, is making every possible effort for relief and rescue:PM”

President of India Droupadi Murmu posted on her X handle, saying, “The news of the death of several newborn babies in the accident at Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College, Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh is extremely heartbreaking. May God give strength to the bereaved parents and families to bear this cruel blow. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured babies.”

Mallikarjun Kharge Condoles Death Of Infants

Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge posted on his X handle that, “The news of the death of innocent children in the accident at the medical college in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh is extremely painful. Our deepest condolences to the families of all the children who died in this heartbreaking accident. May God give strength to their families to bear this sorrow. We demand from the government that the causes of this accident be investigated and strict legal action should be taken against whoever is guilty of such negligence.”

Akhilesh Yadav calls this incident as “Negligence of hospital management, administration.

UP Congress Chief Ajay Rai Condoles Death Of Infants

Ajay Rai said that, “It is a very sad incident. I express my condolences. I think this is a very sad incident. Several such incidents have occurred in Uttar Pradesh. This happened in Varanasi too. This government is ordering only investigations. Yogi Adityanath is going across the country and doing politics of hatred. He has been given responsibility by the people of Uttar Pradesh to look after them and help them. But that is not happening. Only politics of hatred is happening. People are being harassed. Work is not being done. This Government is being run by officers.Uttar Pradesh government and CM Yogi himself are responsible for this (fire accident)…”
