The National Testing Agency (NTA) will shortly initiate the registration process for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026, which is planned in two sessions. The first session will be conducted in January 2026, and the second in April 2026.
As per the official announcement, the application form for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1 will be available on the NTA website jeemain.nta.nic.in come October 2025.
Candidates are advised to make sure all of the following documents have been updated before completing their application for JEE (Main) 2026 to avoid discrepancies, grievances, or rejection at a later time.
Aadhaar Card: Must be updated with correct name, date of birth (As per class 10 certificate), latest photograph, address, Father’s name.
UDID Card (for Persons with Disabilities): Valid, updated, and renewed.
Category Certificate (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL): Valid and updated.
Candidates are advised to visit the official NTA websites, nta.ac.in and jeemain.nta.nic.in, regularly for updates, instructions, and notices about JEE (Main) 2026.
The Joint Entrance Examination (Main) is made up of two exams, as follows:
Paper 1: For admission to undergraduate engineering courses (BE/BTech) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and institutions/universities funded or recognised by participating state governments. Candidates who are qualified for the JEE (Main) Paper 1 will also be qualified to take the JEE (Advanced) exam, which demonstrates qualification for the IITs.
Paper 2: For admission to BArch and BPlanning courses at institutions and universities in the country.
JEE (Main) 2026 is expected to take place across two shifts each day, with the first shift from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and the second shift from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Go to the official website of NTA JEE at: jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Once on the homepage, look for the JEE Main 2026 registration link, then click on it.
Provide the information required and log into your account.
Complete the application form and pay the examination fee.
Submit your details and download the confirmation page.
Print a copy of the registration confirmation for your reference.
