JDU leader And Polling Agent murdered In Bihar’s Nalanda

Fatal assault on JDU member in Bihar stirs tensions

In Nalanda district of Bihar, a Janata Dal United member, Anil Kumar, 62, was fatally assaulted with a sharp weapon during his morning walk with his wife on Monday. His daughter, Neetu, revealed that Kumar had worked as a polling agent in the recent Lok Sabha elections.

She recounted clashes between supporters of the ruling JDU-BJP alliance and the Opposition on polling day in their village.

Kumar attacked by a group of unidentified individuals while en route to the market for vegetable shopping, on Monday. Initially, they assaulted him before inflicting fatal stab wounds.

The occurrence has stirred tensions in Maua village. Authorities are actively investigating the matter and conducting raids to apprehend the assailants.

Following the assault, numerous JD(U) leaders, including Kaushalendra Kumar, the incumbent MP and NDA candidate for Nalanda, visited Kumar’s family to offer condolences.

Police confirmed that Kumar’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination.

Bihar underwent voting across all seven phases from April 19 to June 1. Key parties in contention include BJP, JDU, LJP (Ram Vilas), Hindustani Awam Morcha, Rashtriya Lok Morcha, and the INDIA bloc comprising Congress and RJD.
