Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor on Thursday reacted to the announcement of RJD candidate Tejashwi Yadav from the Raghopur assembly seat as the chief ministerial face of the Mahagathbandhan. Kishor described the development as hardly a “new announcement,” asserting that it was already known that if the “jungle raj” were to return, Tejashwi would become the CM.
What Did Prashant Kishor Say?
“When power starts slipping away, a person is ready to say anything. Appoint not one but five deputy chief ministers, but how will that help? This is hardly a new announcement; it’s already known that if Lalu Yadav’s jungle raj returns, his son Tejashwi Yadav will become the chief minister,” Kishor said.
Kishor while dismissing the Grand Alliance’s move, stated that voters now have a credible alternative in his party, promising a new direction in Bihar’s political landscape. Kishor added, “In a few days, Tejashwi Yadav will announce that he will transform Bihar into golden Lanka. Out of fear of Lalu Yadav, people vote for BJP, and not the other way around, but this time the public has a strong alternative in Jan Suraaj, and the public will not make a mistake this time.”

Samrat Choudhary Slams Mahagathbandhan
Meanwhile, Deputy CM and BJP candidate Samrat Choudhary also slammed the Mahagathbandhan for its CM pick. “Lalu Yadav declared the CM face of Mahagathbandhan through hooliganism torturing Congress and other parties, just the way they spread jungle raaj in Bihar. Now, his son, a registered criminal, is envisioning himself as the CM, and this is a shameful day for democracy,” Choudhary said.
Notably, Mahagathbandhan on Thursday officially announced Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav as it chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections. The alliance also named Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani as the Deputy Chief Minister face. The announcement in this regard was made during a joint press briefing of Mahagathbandhan leaders, including Senior Congress’s Ashok Gehlot and Pawan Khera.
