Srinagar: Indian Army killed Four infiltrating in an encounter along the LoC in Machil area of Kupwara on Friday in North Kashmir.

According to Police sources, in a joint operation, the army and the police killed four terrorists in the Kala Jungle area of Machil in Kupwara sector. The terrorists were trying to infiltrate from PoJK (Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir) towards the Kashmir Valley.

As per News agency ANI, the encounter took place near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Machhal sector of Kupwara. terrorists were trying to infiltrate the Indian side from PoK. The encounter started when the terrorists were spotted, said Police.

Earlier last week, Security Forces killed five Pakistani terrorists in an encounter in the Jumagund area of Kupwara district.

This is the third operation along the Line of Control in the month of June. Eleven terrorists were killed in three operations by security forces in North Kashmir. The first operation was carried out in the Machil sector, where two terrorists were killed. The second operation was carried out in Kupwara, where 5 foreign terrorists were killed and now the security forces killed four infiltrators.
