Jammu and Kashmir: Eid-ul-Fitr, also known as Eid-al-Fitr, was celebrated with religious fervor and joy in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir. The biggest congregation took place at Chowgan ground where over fifty thousand people offered Nimaz-e-Eid and prayed for peace and prosperity of the union territory as well as the nation.
Eid Namaz Offered At Mosques
People celebrated the end of the holy month of Ramadan with deep-rooted religious spirit. Eid Namaz was also offered at other mosques of the town and its outskirts. During the celebrations, necessary arrangements, prioritizing security and the safety of people, were in place. The arrangements were administered by the district police for the smooth conduct of the celebrations.
Police Extend Greetings To Muslim Community
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Rajesh Shavan JKAS, SSP Kishtwar, Javed Iqbal Mir JKPS, ADC Kishtwar, Pawan Kotwal, Additional SP Kishtwar Pawan Sharma, and other officers were also present at the event. They exchanged Eid greetings with the Muslim community and prayed for peace, tranquility, integrity, communal harmony, and brotherhood in the district as well as in the Jammu-Kashmir.
