Jaipur Hit And Run Case: The Rajasthan government will provide financial support of Rs 50 lakh to each of the families of the deceased. The registration of the vehicles involved in the accident will be canceled, and the driving license of the driver responsible will be revoked. This process has been started following the instructions from RTO Rajendra Shekhawat.
On Monday, an SUV rammed into several pedestrians and vehicles in the Nahargarh area of Jaipur district in Rajasthan. Three people were killed, and nine others were injured in the incident that occurred on Monday evening. The incident led to a gathering of locals who caught the driver and handed him over to the police. CCTV footage of the incident has gone viral on social media. In the video, the speeding vehicle can be seen ramming into pedestrians and motorcyclists. The SUV can be seen hitting at least 5-6 other vehicles. Several people were flung from bikes, while others were thrown off the road and landed on the pavements. Locals sat on protest outside the Nahargarh police station on Tuesday and demanded strict action.
Police On Jaipur Hit And Run Case:
SMS Police Station Sub-Inspector Kanhaiyalal told ANI, “A hit-and-run case has come to light from the Nahargarh area. In the incident, nine people were injured and brought to the hospital. 2 people have died.” The injured have been admitted to the hospital where they are undergoing treatment.

Victim Recounts Horror
According to the preliminary investigation, it is suspected that the driver was heavily drunk. The death toll is expected to rise further as some injured are in critical condition. The viral video has raised concerns about road safety. Netizens have demanded actions from the authority stating that road safety is a serious issue.
One of the injured, Vijay Narayan spoke to News24 reporter, KJ Srivatsan and said that he was returning from a temple visit when the uncontrollable car ran over him. He has a plaster on his leg and has demanded strict action against the accused.
