A university in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, forgot to conduct an exam after announcing the schedule and issuing admit cards to MSc computer science students. When the students arrived at Rani Durgavati University, they were told that the exam wouldn’t take place because the university wasn’t prepared.
In response to student protests, the university administration has launched an investigation into the matter and may take action against those responsible.
In February, the university had released the timetable for the first-semester M.Sc. Computer Science exam. The exam was slated for Tuesday according to the schedule. However, to the astonishment of the candidates, who had traveled from nearby districts, the university had made no preparations for the exam.

Upon learning about the oversight, workers from the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) stormed into the Vice Chancellor’s office and caused chaos. The NSUI demanded severe action against the responsible employees for jeopardizing the students’ future.
The Vice Chancellor has requested a response within three days from two staff members responsible for overseeing the examination. He stated that once the investigation report is submitted, appropriate action will be taken against those accountable.
In recognition of the mistake registrar Dr. Deepesh Mishra confirmed the formation of an inquiry committee. He added that a new timetable has been issued and the first-semester MSc Computer Science exam will now take place from March 7 to March 15.
