ISRO Begins Countdown For Their Historic 100th Launch- What Is This Mission All About? Know In Detail

This will be the first launch under the Chairman of ISRO V Narayanan.

India’s space organization ISRO is set for the 100th launch from Sriharikota’s Satish Dhawan Space Centre. The launch will take place on January 29, 2025 at 6:23 am. This Indian Space Research Organization will achieve this with the GSLV-G15 mission.

This will be the first launch under the Chairman of ISRO V Narayanan. It will take place in Wednesday morning. V Narayanan took office as the new Chairman of Indian Space Research Organization on January 13, 2025.

This GSLV-F15 will be the 17th flight of this GSLV. This marks the eighth operational flight of GSLV featuring a fully indigenous cryogenic stage. This portrays the advanced technology of ISRO.

This will be the 100th launch of ISRO from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre. The NVS -02 is the second satellite in the Navigation with Indian Constellation series. This is made to give precise velocity, positioning and timing to the user across the Indian subcontinent. Not only to them but to the areas up to 1,500 Km beyond the India’s border.

The NavIC have five second generation satellites, aimed to enhance the NavIC base layer constellation, as per reports.
