To fulfill the dietary preferences of passengers who are eating a restricted diet during the fasting period of Navratri, the Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has debuted a special menu of Falahari selections on the trains.
This service is meant to create an easier experience for travelers who are observing very limited dietary restrictions during this festival.
Navratri Special Menu On Train:
The Satvik and Falahari meals consist of an extensive range of fasting foods, consisting of jeera aloo, aloo tikki, sabudana khichdi, sabudana vada, malai barfi, lassi, dry-roasted fox nuts, fasting vegetables, roasted peanuts and plain curd.
In order to improve passenger experience during the Diwali season, Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has established a Falahari meal menu for passengers on fasts.
– Users can reserve meals on the IRCTC e-catering website or via the mobile app and pay online or upon delivery. These Satvik thalis are delivered to passenger berths at the selected station (100 – 200 per meal).
– In another order of business, the Railway Board has designated all zonal railways to make available larger 1-litre Rail Neer bottles on all Vande Bharat trains. This new, larger bottle will replace the previous 500ml bottles, with an aim to improve passenger comfort.
– The order has been implemented all across the Vande Bharat trains, including to the newly opened Bhopal-Rani Kamalapati to Hazrat Nizamuddin route via Gwalior and the new Khajuraho Vande Bharat.
– Jagran.com has reported that, according to Ajit Sinha, Chief Regional Manager of IRCTC, a circular has been sent out by the Railway Board to allow for availability of Rail Neer 1-liter bottles on these trains, improving the travel experience for passengers.
