Asia’s largest airport which is under construction in Jewar, Noida is almost complete and will become operational anytime soon. The Noida airport will become operational for commercial flights in the April next year. The interchange which is set to connect Greenfield Expressway and the Jewar Airport is nearing its completion and the trails of light vehicles are expected to begin soon. The trials are scheduled to begin next week and preparations for the same are already underway.

Trials For Interchange Connecting Jewar Airport And Greenfield Expressway To Begin Soon
An official from Yamuna Development Authority (YDA) while speaking to News 18 opened that following the completion of RCC process, the final layer of the tar has also been laid on the interchange. The official said, “Only finishing work is ongoing, which will be completed by next week.” The Expressway is of length 750m and will feature eight lanes. The Expressway will be very crucial and will connect the local people to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is currently constructing a 13 km long Greenfield Expressway which is part of Nitin Gadkari’s ambitious ‘Bharatmala’ project. The cost of the project is around INR 2,241.4 crores.
The Jewar Airport will certainly prove to be a major game changer in the development of Noida. The Jewar airport willn’t only reduce the burden of flights from the Indira Gandhi International Airport whereas it will also showcase India’s rising image in the field of infrastructure.
