A social media influencer was allegedly being harassed while she recorded a reel in her apartment building and slapped the man who was harassing her. The video was filmed and later shared by the social media influencer herself on her Instagram account, which garnered more than 92 million views and 2.3 million likes.
Mansi is shown in the video getting ready to shoot a reel on the staircase of her building. She finds a place to compose herself and begins to adjust her face to the camera when a man in a pink and white striped t-shirt and blue pants walks into the video. Mansi moves to her right to allow the man passage through the staircase, however, it appears the man touches Mansi’s arm inappropriately.
Acting quickly, the social media influencer calls him out and after a brief conversation, gives him a slap for his behaviour. The man is shown running away from the scene, apologising for his behaviour.
The majority of commenters applauded her for calling out the inappropriate behaviour and were complimentary of her quick actions and bravery.
The influencer detailed in her Instagram caption that when she presented video proof of the man attacking her to the man’s family, they defended him with the claim he had mental health issues. Appearing in disbelief, she warned that mental health wasn’t an excuse, as he didn’t seem mentally ill. She insisted that there is no acceptable reason to harass a woman based on what she is wearing, reinforcing her modest dress was modest, while he still went after her.
