Following the latest developments, IndiGo announced the resumption of flight operations on the Middle East routes it had earlier suspended on Tuesday. The Airlines stated that it continues to monitor the situation closely and are fully considering the safest available flight paths to ensure secure and seamless travel. Amid the ongoing situation in the Middle East, IndiGo had earlier announced the suspension of flights from various cities in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain.
IndiGo wrote on X, “As airports across the Middle East gradually reopen, we are prudently and progressively resuming operations on these routes. We continue to monitor the situation closely and are fully considering the safest available flight paths to ensure secure and seamless travel. Please stay updated via our mobile app or website.”

The earlier decision of suspension had been taken, keeping in mind the security and safety of passengers flying through these danger-prone areas. Notably, Qatar temporarily suspended air traffic across the country, citing the safety of its citizens, residents, and visitors. This came after Iran reportedly launched multiple missiles targeting installations in Qatar and Iraq, including Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. (Note: As of the latest update, Qatar has reopened its airspace)
Flight operations to and from Dubai, Doha, Bahrain, Dammam, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Madinah, Fujairah, Jeddah, Muscat, Sharjah, Riyadh, Ras AI-Khaimah and Tbilisi were suspended until 1000hrs today.
The Airlines informed about the suspension through a post on X and wrote, “In view of the evolving situation in the Middle East, our flight operations to and from Dubai, Doha, Bahrain, Dammam, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Madinah, Fujairah, Jeddah, Muscat, Sharjah, Riyadh, Ras AI-Khaimah and Tbilisi have been suspended at least until 1000hrs today. We understand the impact this may have on your travel plans, and sincerely regret the inconvenience. Please be assured that this decision has been taken as a proactive safety measure.”
IndiGo has further asked passengers to keep checking their flight status via our website or mobile app. The Airlines has asserted that they will resume services as soon as safe flight corridors become available.

Emirates Issues Advisory
Meanwhile, Emirates also notified that it will continue to operate flights as scheduled, using flight paths well distanced from conflict areas.
An X post by Emirate stated, “Some flights may incur delays due to longer re-routings or airspace congestion, but Emirates’ teams are working hard to keep to schedule and minimise any disruption or inconvenience to our customers.”
Due to the recent regional situation, a number of Emirates flights were rerouted enroute to Dubai on 23 June, but there were no diversions.
