IndiGo flights cancelled live: The Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear a plea seeking an urgent hearing on the recent cancellations and delays of IndiGo flights. Notably, more than 4,500 flights have been cancelled since Tuesday last week.

Why are Indigo flights being cancelled?
New rules called Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) limit the number of hours pilots and crew can work. This has also created chaos as the airline lacked sufficient crew members. This, in turn, led to changes in flight schedules and cancellations across the network.
When will Indigo issue be resolved
Aviation watchdog DGCA on Saturday issued show cause notices to IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers and Accountable Manager Isidro Porqueras seeking explanations within 24 hours on the massive flight disruptions. Afterwards, DGCA has granted a one-time 24-hour extension to IndiGo for the response to the show-cause notice on the airline’s unpredicted flight cancellations and delays.
IndiGo’s nationwide flight disruptions have left passengers at Guwahati airport dealing with cancellations and unanswered questions on Monday. One distressed passenger spoke to ANI about her experience after being stranded for several days without clear information or support.
"I had come from Jaipur and had a return ticket for December 5 in an IndiGo flight scheduled at 5.55 PM. It was cancelled, and there was a lot of chaos at the airport, due to which the staff closed the window, and we went back," The traveller who had flown from Jaipur to Guwahati said. She had flown from Jaipur to Guwahati
At Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport, 127 IndiGo flights were cancelled, which included 65 arrivals and 62 departures.
Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport also faced a major impact, with 77 IndiGo flights disrupted today. This included 38 arrivals and 39 departures, ANI reported citing airport authorities.
Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport recorded the highest number of cancellations so far, with 75 departures and 59 arrivals. In total, 134 flights were cancelled.
Passengers at big airports like Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Kolkata are facing long delays and higher ticket prices. The DGCA has called IndiGo’s top officials to explain the disruptions.
