Why are Indigo flights being cancelled?

New rules called Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) limit the number of hours pilots and crew can work. This has also created chaos as the airline lacked sufficient crew members. This, in turn, led to changes in flight schedules and cancellations across the network.

When will Indigo issue be resolved

Aviation watchdog DGCA on Saturday issued show cause notices to IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers and Accountable Manager Isidro Porqueras seeking explanations within 24 hours on the massive flight disruptions. Afterwards, DGCA has granted a one-time 24-hour extension to IndiGo for the response to the show-cause notice on the airline’s unpredicted flight cancellations and delays.
