IndiGo Flight News Cancellations Today Live Updates: In a setback, even after DGCA’s warning, IndiGo cancelled more than 500 flights on Thursday from three major airports. It is learnt that the cancellations were due to the shortage of crew. The airline does not have enough crew because of new rules on pilots’ work hours and rest time.
This is the third day in a row that the airline is facing this problem. The situation got worse after the pilots’ association said the airlines were creating the crisis to put pressure on regulators.
IndiGo issued a statement on cancellation
IndiGo, in a statement, apologised to the passengers, stating that its flight network had been badly disrupted for the past two days. The airline told the DGCA that it will reduce the number of flights starting December 8. It also said that normal operations are expected to return only by February 10, 2026. IndiGo admitted that mistakes in planning and in applying the second phase of the new duty rules caused the large-scale disruptions.
