All three passengers were given oxygen and asked to rest, but the passengers accused the airline and crew of negligence, claiming it endangered their lives. They had to endure the heat for about an hour during the flight, with high altitude affecting the oxygen levels. Throughout the journey, passengers used magazines to fan themselves.

Media reports stated that IndiGo flight 6E-2235 took off from Delhi’s IGI Airport for Varanasi. The flight, which lasted about an hour and five minutes, experienced an AC failure shortly after takeoff. Passengers reported the issue to the crew, who informed them that the AC had malfunctioned. When asked to fix it, the crew assured passengers it would be resolved soon, but the problem remained unresolved throughout the flight.

Flight Departed Before AC Being Fixed

Passengers reported that the flight, which departed at 7:35 pm, landed in Varanasi at 8:40 pm without the AC being fixed. During the flight, they struggled with breathing difficulties. Three female passengers needed oxygen support and were taken to the hospital by their relatives upon landing. Passengers emphasized that the airline should inspect its planes, warning that an AC failure like this poses a serious risk, and questioned who would take responsibility for a potential accident.

Passengers claimed that the AC was off when they boarded the flight. When they informed the crew, they were told not to worry and that the AC would be switched on after takeoff. They accused the airline and crew of being negligent.
