An IndiGo Airbus A321 aircraft’s tail scraped the runway while powering up for a go-around maneuver at low altitude due to bad weather in Mumbai on Saturday, the airline said.
The go-around manoeuvre is a common practice that pilots use when landing conditions are suboptimal. It allows them to adjust and attempt a different approach angle for a safer landing. Thereafter, the aircraft executed another landing approach and landed safely.
