The shortest expressway is called the Durg Bypass Expressway. It is located in Chhattisgarh. The length of this expressway is just 18 Km. This expressway was constructed to solve the traffic-related issues on National Highway 53.
The completion of this expressway has brought great relief to travelers from Maharashtra, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh. The bypass allows vehicles to travel freely without getting stuck in city traffic. This has reduced congestion in the city, reduced pollution, and facilitated industrial transportation. Although the Durg Bypass Expressway is short, it holds immense strategic importance. It connects major industrial centers like Durg, Bhilai, and Raipur, enabling faster transportation of goods. This bypass is especially important for heavy vehicles, which previously caused congestion in the city.
