New Delhi: Indian Army personnel sustained minor injuries following a clash with the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) at Tawang Sector of Arunachal Pradesh on December 9.
“On 9th Dec 2022, PLA troops contacted the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Tawang Sector of Arunachal Pradesh which was contested by Indian troops in a firm and resolute manner,” news agency ANI reported on December 12 quoting sources.

“The face-off led to minor injuries to a few personnel from both sides,” ANI tweeted, adding that both sides immediately disengaged from the area.
“As a follow-up of the incident, India’s Commander in the area held a Flag Meeting with his counterpart to discuss the issue in accordance with structured mechanisms to restore peace and tranquillity,” the source added.
The source said that along the LAC in Tawang sector, army personnel of both countries “patrol the area upto their claim lines”.
“In certain areas along the LAC in the Tawang Sector in Arunachal Pradesh, there are areas of differing perception, wherein both sides patrol the area upto their claim lines. This has been the trend since 2006,” he said.
