New Delhi: A soldier of the Indian army has been arrested for trading confidential information of Indian army with Pakistan’s intelligence agency.
The soldier who was arrested in an investigation which was being carried out by the Rajasthan CID (Central Investigation Agency) and the Intelligence Bureau (IB). The agencies were involved in investigating a case of information trade in which the soldier of the Indian army was caught.
The soldier who was identified as Shantimoy Rana is a resident of West Bengal. He was posted in the cantonment area of Jaipur.
The soldier was reportedly, a victim of honey-trap who was trading information. He probably did this in exchange of not revealing the actions that led to his entrapment in this scenario.
Rana is accused of rolling out various confidential information through the social media platforms to intelligence agency across the border. Currently, Rana is in custody and the interrogation is progress.
