New Delhi: Indian Railways has canceled more than 240 trains on Sunday due to maintenance and operational reasons. The Railway Department said that 176 trains leaving on September 11 were completely canceled, while 67 trains were partially cancelled.

The list of canceled trains includes trains originating from several cities like Delhi, Howrah, Asansol, Prayagraj, Guwahati, Madurai and others. The Railway Department had also canceled 243 trains on Saturday due to technical and engineering related works.

1. Go to indianrail.gov.in/mntes and select the date of travel
2. Next, select Extraordinary Trains on the top panel of the screen
3. Click on the option of Canceled Trains
4. Select Full or Partial option to view complete list of trains along with timing, route and other details as per requirement
5. Now, Indian Railways also allows to check live trains running status

1. Visit the official website https://www.irctchhelp.in/live-train-running-status/
2. Enter the train number in the given text box.
3. Select or enter the date in DD-MM-YYYY format.
4. Hit the search button to get the results in tabular format
5. To check through SMS – send SMS as ‘AD (Train Number)’ to 139
6. Call 139 to contact Indian Railway Inquiry Number
7. Train passengers can visit the official site to check complete details about trains schedule, arrival and departure timings etc.
8. Passengers can also download the mobile application NTES in case of any other queries.
