New Delhi: Indian Railways has canceled more than 160 trains on Wednesday due to operational and maintenance related work. The update was shared by the Railways on its official IRCTC website. 124 trains that were scheduled to depart on August 24 were completely cancelled, while 39 trains were partially cancelled.
Meanwhile, the timings of seven trains were changed and 10 trains were diverted by the Railways. Every week, the railway department cancels, reschedules and diverts trains due to various reasons including bad weather, maintenance, technical and operational works.

1- Go to indianrail.gov.in/mntes and select the date of travel
2- Next, select Extraordinary Trains on the top panel of the screen
3- Click on the option of Canceled Trains
4- Select Full or Partial option to view complete list of trains along with timing, route and other details as per requirement

- Enter the train number in the given text box.
- Select or enter the date in DD-MM-YYYY format.
- Hit the search button to get the results in tabular format
- To check through SMS – send SMS as ‘AD (Train Number)’ to 139
- Call 139 to contact Indian Railway Inquiry Number
- Train passengers can visit the official site to check complete details about trains schedule, arrival and departure timings etc. Passengers can also download the mobile application NTES in case of any other queries.
