Kochi: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das Friday asserted that India's economy remained "resillient" through a number of threats globally including Covid-19 pandemic and Ukraine-Russia war.
The RBI governor said, "Despite the multi and overlapping global shocks to the global economy from COVID-19 Pandemic, the war in Ukraine and the synchronized monetary policy tightening by the central banks across the world, the Indian economy remains resilient."
"... it is expected to be the fastest-growing economy in the world," he added.
RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das was speaking at the 17th KP Hormis Commemorative Lecture in Kerala's Kochi.
