Kochi: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das Friday asserted that India’s economy remained “resillient” through a number of threats globally including Covid-19 pandemic and Ukraine-Russia war.

The RBI governor said, “Despite the multi and overlapping global shocks to the global economy from COVID-19 Pandemic, the war in Ukraine and the synchronized monetary policy tightening by the central banks across the world, the Indian economy remains resilient.”

“… it is expected to be the fastest-growing economy in the world,” he added.

RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das was speaking at the 17th KP Hormis Commemorative Lecture in Kerala’s Kochi.

Earlier, on December 13, the Delhi government’s Directorate of Education (DoE) had issued a circular directing all government, government-aided, and recognised private schools under DOE, NDMC, MCD, and Delhi Cantonment Board to conduct classes in a hybrid mode for students up to Class IX and XI.
