New Delhi: In view of the possible threat along the border with China and Pakistan, the Indian Army is gradually strengthening its security and surveillance system. The Indian Army has recently installed a smart monitoring system based on Artificial Intelligence System (AI-based) on the northern and western borders of the country.
With this, the movement of troops along the border with China, new construction and infrastructure related things will be monitored more accurately.
Analysis based on real time inputs
According to information received by the Security Establishment, 145 such AI-based monitoring assets have already been installed on the northern and western borders in the last few years.
These include feeds from satellite imagery, drones, radars, thermal cameras, electro-optical devices, motion detectors and many such devices. Through these, the army keeps getting real time inputs in the control room.
This input will be analyzed and sent to the commanders so that necessary decisions can be taken faster along with transparency in the battlefield on the frontline.
Plan to use 5G
The Indian Army is planning to use 5G service to improve the communication system of frontline soldiers. It will be necessary in the strategic battlefield.
Recently a joint service study conducted a study on the implementation of 5G in the armed forces. In this, it was considered the most important for the army. Study has been completed. And its recommendations are being studied by the Indian Army, Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force (IAF).
Sources said that the Indian Army will use 5G to support operations in the strategic battlefield.
