International Yoga Day 2025: The Indian Army marked International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and vigour, highlighting the significance of yoga in promoting physical and mental well-being among its troops, locals, and schoolchildren. The event was attended by 212 soldiers, 176 locals, and 85 school children who participated in a mass yoga session led by expert instructors.
The session emphasized the holistic benefits of yoga, including enhanced flexibility, strength, and stress management. The Indian Army has underscored the importance of incorporating yoga into daily routines, particularly for soldiers and young people in the region who face rigorous physical and mental demands.
The event concluded with a talk on the philosophy of yoga and its relevance in today’s fast-paced world, encouraging soldiers and the youth to adopt yoga as a lifelong practice. The International Yoga Day event at Dharmund was a resounding success, reinforcing the Army’s commitment to holistic health and wellness.
