Indian Armed Forces Neutralize Pakistani Air Defense In Retaliatory Strike

The night of May 7-8 witnessed a significant escalation, with Pakistan attempting to engage Indian military sites in regions including Srinagar, Awantipura, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, and several others. However, these attempts were effectively thwarted by India's Integrated Counter UAS Grid and Air Defence systems, which neutralized incoming threats and ensured the safety of critical installations.

In a decisive response to Pakistani forces attempt to attack on Indian military installations, the Indian Armed Forces successfully neutralized air defense systems in Lahore, Pakistan. This operation, conducted early this morning, follows a series of aggressive drone and missile strikes launched by Pakistani forces against multiple military targets across Northern and Western India the previous night.

During a press briefing on Operation SINDOOR on May 7, the Indian Ministry of Defence characterized the nation’s response as “focused, measured, and non-escalatory.” Officials said that while the retaliatory strikes were necessary, they were specifically aimed at minimizing escalation by avoiding direct attacks on Pakistani military establishments.

The night of May 7-8 witnessed a significant escalation, with Pakistan attempting to engage Indian military sites in regions including Srinagar, Awantipura, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, and several others. However, these attempts were effectively thwarted by India’s Integrated Counter UAS Grid and Air Defence systems, which neutralized incoming threats and ensured the safety of critical installations.

The aftermath of these attacks revealed debris from the intercepted drones and missiles scattered across various locations in India, further substantiating the aggressive actions taken by Pakistan. In retaliation, Indian forces targeted multiple air defense radars and systems within Pakistan, successfully neutralizing one of the key air defense installations in Lahore. This response was intended to match the intensity of Pakistan’s initial strikes and demonstrate India’s commitment to defending its sovereignty.

Tragically, the continuous ceasefire violation by Pakistani forces at LOC has resulted in the loss of sixteen innocent lives in India due to unprovoked mortar and artillery fire from across the Line of Control. Among the deceased are three women and five children, prompting India to take necessary measures to halt the barrage of fire from Pakistani positions in Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, Poonch, Mendhar, and Rajouri sectors.

The Indian Armed Forces continue to reiterate their commitment to non-escalation but have made it clear that any further attacks on military targets will elicit a robust response. As tensions remain high, the focus remains on safeguarding national security while striving for stability, maintained the defence officials.
