India Warns Pakistan On Kashmir Issue At UN Security Council Meeting

Pakistan attempted to justify its position in the United Nations Security Council by drawing parallels between Kashmir and Palestine.

India Warns Pakistan in Security Council Meeting: Once again, Pakistan has raised the Kashmir issue at the United Nations. Pakistan attempted to justify its position in the United Nations Security Council by drawing parallels between Kashmir and Palestine. Munir Akram, representing Pakistan at the UN, stated that Pakistan condemns all forms of terrorism but considers the pursuit of its rights, free from foreign occupation, as not constituting terrorism. It is evident that Pakistan was referring to Kashmir. Munir Akram also criticized several countries, including the United States, for their stance on terrorism. India's Warning Simultaneously, India issued a warning against Pakistan for mentioning Kashmir during the Security Council meeting on the Israel-Gaza situation. India's Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador R. Ravindra, stated that when Pakistan's UN Ambassador Munir Akram referred to Kashmir, India considered it contemptuous and would not respect such comments. Ravindra emphasized that Kashmir is an integral and undivided part of India, and they would not show respect for such references in the Security Council. US Secretary of State Addresses Terrorism Furthermore, in the same Security Council meeting, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken declared that all acts of terrorism, whether committed by Pakistan-based terrorist organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba or carried out by Hamas, are illegal and unjustified. This statement came in the context of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. Israel has announced its intention to continue its military operations until it has dismantled Hamas. The United States also affirmed its stance that terrorism in any form will not be tolerated within the United Nations.
