The more significant part was the uniform in which the CDS and tri-services chiefs met the President. They were out of their combat uniforms, which they were seen wearing during the earlier meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The CDS and tri-services chiefs met the President in their standardised uniforms.

What Does The Changed Uniform Signify?
The CDS and tri-services chiefs were out of their combat uniforms during the meeting with the President. The meeting and the uniforms signal the potential end of the first tranche of Operation Sindoor following the ceasefire ‘understanding’ between India and Pakistan.
The tensions between the 2 countries had sharply increased after a deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, which claimed the lives of 26 people. In retaliation, Indian armed forces carried out Operation Sindoor and destroyed the terror camps within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoK).
Thereafter, Pakistan’s drone entered Indian territory, which were intercepted and neutralized by India air defence system.
Now the tensions between India and Pakistan ease as both countries on Saturday announced to stop all military actions and firing across their shared border immediately. As the ceasefire ‘understanding’ between India and Pakistan begins, several tough measures taken by India to maintain pressure on Pakistan remain in place, including the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty.
