Ahmedabad: AIMIM chief and MP Asaduddin Owaisi has targeted not only the central government and the BJP but also the opposition in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, ahead of the assembly elections. On Saturday, he took a jibe at the PM and said that the country has seen a lot of powerful PMs, now a weak PM and khichdi government are needed.
Owaisi had reached Gujarat to take stock of his party’s preparations for the Gujarat Assembly elections to be held by the end of the year and to devise new strategies. In a conversation with reporters here, he lashed out at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for supporting the NDA in the past.
“I believe that the country needs a weak PM, because the strong can see it. Now a weak PM is needed to help the weak. The mighty is helping the mighty. He was not even looking at the weak. I want khichdi government to be formed in the country because Gujarat, Hyderabad and Uttar Pradesh have different types of khichdi,” Owaisi said.
