New Delhi: Amid the ongoing tussle between India and China in eastern Ladakh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said India is fully committed and prepared to protect its sovereignty and dignity. He also emphasised that peace on borders is essential for normal mutual relations among neighbours.
In an interview with Japanese Publication Nikkie Asia, Prime Minister said, “The future development of India-China bilateral ties can only be dependent on mutual respect, mutual sensitivity and mutual interests.”
The further PM said that “normalising” the ties would benefit the wider region and the world.

On the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, PM Modi said India’s position on the issue is clear, we stand on the side of peace and will remain firmly there.
