India-China face-off: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will make a statement in both houses of Parliament today about the clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang sector.
On Tuesday, a day after the report of the skirmish was released, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh held a high-level meeting with Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan and army chiefs. According to defence sources, the Defense Minister learned about the recent skirmish between the two sides’ troops in Tawang.
The clash was announced by opposition leaders in Parliament.
Rajnath Singh will make a statement in the Lok Sabha at 12 p.m. and in the Rajya Sabha at 2 p.m. today. Today is the fifth day of Parliament’s winter session. Several opposition leaders have issued statements in Parliament regarding this clash.
According to sources, Indian troops deployed in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang sector on December 9 responded appropriately to Chinese troops, with more Chinese soldiers injured than Indian soldiers.
India-China face-off: He stated that the Chinese had arrived fully prepared with around 300 soldiers, but that the Indian side was also not expected to be well prepared.

According to sources, PLA troops crossed the LAC in the Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh on December 9, 2022, and were heavily repelled by Indian troops.
He stated that following the incident, India’s commander in the area met with his counterpart to discuss the issue in accordance with the structured mechanism to restore peace and tranquillity.
