In Poll-Bound Bihar, Amit Shah Lays Foundation Stone For Maa Sita Temple In Sitamarhi

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said," The Central government will re-develop the Maa Janki temple complex at a cost of Rs 883 crores. The government is working to improve connectivity between Sitamarhi and Ayodhya by road and rail networks. Today, a train is being introduced between Sitamarhi and Delhi."

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday laid the foundation stone for the Maa Sita temple at Punaura Dham in Bihar’s Sitamarhi. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and Deputy CMs Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha were also present.

Dy CM Vijay Sinha said, “Today is an auspicious and historic day. It is a step towards Bihar’s prosperity and the Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bihar.”

Shah In a post on X yesterday, Shah said, “Tomorrow is an extremely auspicious and joyous day for the entire country, and especially for Mithilanchal, when the foundation stone for the comprehensive development plan of the sacred ‘Punaura Dham Temple’ and its premises will be laid at the birthplace of Mother Sita in Sitamarhi, Bihar”

To further ease the commute to the temple for devotees, PM Shri Narendramodi ji approved the Sitamarhi-Delhi Bharat Train, which will be inaugurated today as well. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will soon lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Janaki Mandir in Punaura Dham, the birthplace of Maa Sita, today.

Union Ministers Giriraj Singh and Chirag Paswan have hailed the scheduled foundation stone-laying ceremony of the Maa Janaki Temple at Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, terming it as “historic.” The State will face Assembly elections later in the year.

Speaking to reporters, Singh said, “Last year, on the land of Sitamarhi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that as the Ram temple has been constructed, now the temple of Sita Mata will be built. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar will perform the Bhoomi Pujan of the temple. This is historic.”
