New Delhi: The air arm of defence force of India and Australia have concluded a four-day long joint exercise. The exercise took place in Malaysia.
This is possibly the first edition of a joint air exercise between the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF).

“Successful execution of the first edition of the exercise is testimony to professional capabilities, mutual understanding & shared commitment of the 2 Air Forces. IAF contingent now moves on to Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), Darwin, Australia for Exercise Pitch Black 22” said the IAF.
Udarshakti
The four-day exercise was named Udarashakti. The exercise saw various sorties and formation execution while in progress.
Malaysian Air Force was the host
The IAF further said, “The four-day Ex Udarashakti culminated on 16th Aug with a traditional closing ceremony hosted by Royal Malaysian Air Force. Ceremony was marked with a 7 aircraft formation fly past by both Air Forces & exchange of mementoes between the contingent leaders.”
