Madhya Pradesh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that in amrit kaal, it is our responsibility to take our country’s heritage forward and learn from our past in Madhya Pradesh.
The statement came after PM Modi performed Bhoomi Poojan at newly built Sant Shiromani Gurudev Shri Ravidas Memorial Sthal in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district. This memorial is slated to span an expansive area of more than 11.25 acres and is anticipated to incur a substantial investment of over Rs 100 crores.
Addressing the gathering, PM said, "During the era of 'Amrit Kaal', it becomes incumbent upon us to carry forward our heritage and draw lessons from history."
"Our government's primary emphasis lies in the well-being of the underprivileged and the empowerment of every segment of society. Presently, whether it's the Dalit, Backward, or Tribal communities, our administration is earnestly acknowledging them and presenting fresh avenues for their progress," PM Modi stated.

"Amidst the Covid pandemic, I made a firm resolve that no impoverished individual should go to bed hungry. I don't require textbooks to comprehend your suffering. We initiated the 'Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana' and extended complimentary rations to over 80 crore individuals, a feat that has now garnered international commendation for our endeavors," PM Modi added.
However, during his day-long visit to the state heading into elections, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and set the foundation for railway and roadway projects totaling over Rs 4,000 crores. He will commemorate the doubling of the Kota-Bina rail route, a venture executed with an investment exceeding Rs 2,475 crores.
This strategic undertaking, stretching across Kota, Baran districts in Rajasthan, and Guna, Ashok Nagar, and Sagar districts in Madhya Pradesh, aims to bolster transportation capacity, augment train speed, and elevate mobility.
Additionally, PM Modi will lay the cornerstone for two road projects, valued at more than Rs 1,580 crores. These projects entail the expansion of a road connecting Morikori - Vidisha - Hinotiya and the establishment of a road linking Hinotiya to Mehluwa.
