IMD Weather Update: The Western Himalayan Region braces for isolated to scattered rainfall and snowfall as a fresh western disturbance is expected to affect the region today and the day-after. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts rainfall activity across Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and West Uttar Pradesh on 22nd and 23rd January. Thunderstorms may affect isolated areas of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, and West Uttar Pradesh today. Rain is also expected to lash Rajasthan and West Madhya Pradesh on January 22.

Dense Fog Warning

Dense fog conditions are likely to cause disruptions in daily life during the night and early morning hours in isolated pockets of East Rajasthan and East Uttar Pradesh till the 24th of January. Bihar and Odisha will also witness similar conditions from 22rd to 24th January. Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura will experience dense fog until tomorrow.

AQI, Weather Forecast For Delhi

The Air Quality Index (AQI) over Delhi/NCR was recorded as 264 at 6 am on Wednesday, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). IMD has issued a yellow alert for Lightning and thunderstorms in the national capital.

AQI recorded in different parts of Delhi at 6 am: Anand Vihar (312), Rohini (301), Ashok Vihar (292), Bawana (314), ITO (313), Jahangirpuri (294), Najafgarh (258), Patparganj (289), Vivek Vihar (298), R K Puram (279), Shadipur (174),

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts generally cloudy skies over the city on January 22 & 23 and clear weather on 24. There has been a decline in minimum temperature up to 01°C over the city during the past 24 hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures over Delhi were recorded in the range of 22 to 25°C and 10 to 11°C, respectively.
