India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted very heavy rainfall likely to occur over Konkan and Goa. Whereas it has predicted heavy rainfall over Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Central Maharashtra, Gujarat, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya.
IMD has also informed about isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall activity likely over Kerala, Mahe and Tamil Nadu during the week and over Karnataka, Goa, ghat areas of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya during next 3-4 days.

Forecast for South India
IMD has predicted isolated heavy rainfall over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during 10-15th October.
North interior parts of Karnataka is also expected to receive isolated heavy rainfall today.
North East India
Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya are expected to receive isolated heavy rainfall today.
Prediction For West India
IMD has predicted scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall likely over Konkan, Goa and Gujarat region during the week. Saurashtra and Kutch are said to receive isolate heavy rainfall between 10-13th October.
Northwest, East & Central India
No significant rainfall has been expected for these regions during next one week.
Delhi
Delhi will have a clear sky today, there is no warning of rainfall activity. Maximum temperature will be 35°C and minimum will be 22°C.
On Withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon
About further withdrawal of southwest monsoon, IMD said that the line of withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon continues to pass through 29°N/84°E, Nautanwa, Sultanpur, Panna, Narmada Puram, Khargone, Nandurbar, Navsari and 20°N/70°E. It mentioned that the conditions are favourable for its withdrawal from remaining parts of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, some parts of Maharashtra, Bihar and Jharkhand during next 2-3 days.
Weather System
On weather system, the IMD informed that low pressure area of yesterday has intensified into a well marked low pressure area and seen over east central Arabian Sea off Karnataka and is likely to move north westwards and intensify into a Depression over central Arabian Sea during next 2-3 days.
Cyclonic circulation over Sri Lanka and neighbourhood is now seen over Southwest Bay of Bengal off Tamil Nadu.
It has predicted another fresh cyclonic circulation very likely to develop over central parts of south Bay of Bengal around 12th October at lower & middle tropospheric levels.
