IMD Weather Update: People across the northern parts of the country are waiting for some relief from the biting cold weather conditions. However, they will have to wait a bit longer, as a fresh western disturbance is expected to bring major changes in the weather pattern. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its press release, mentioned that a cyclonic circulation lies over southwest Madhya Pradesh and neighbourhood in lower tropospheric levels. Similarly, a cyclonic circulation lies over East Bangladesh and neighbourhood. Under its influence, Arunachal Pradesh and northeast Assam are expected to witness thunderstorm on Friday.
Temperature Forecast
The IMD observed that minimum temperatures are below 0°C over isolated places of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. While 1-5°C over some parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand; 6-10°C over plains of Northwest and some parts of East India; 10-18°C in Central, West and East India.
Gradual fall in minimum temperatures by 2-4°C has been predicted over Northwest India during next 3 days
No significant change in minimum temperatures over Central India during next 24 hours.
No significant change in minimum temperatures over East India during next 48 hours.
No significant change in minimum temperatures likely over rest parts of the country.

Cold wave warning has been issued for Himachal Pradesh on 24th January.
IMD Weather Update: Fog Forecast
Dense fog conditions will continue to prevail during night/early morning hours in East Rajasthan, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand on 24th January.
Himachal Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura till 25th January.
East Uttar Pradesh on 24th and 25th January.
