IMD Weather Update: Temperature Rises In Delhi; Heavy Rain Alert For Assam, Arunachal

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued weather updates forecasting varied conditions across different regions of India.

The temperature has consistently risen in several regions of India, including the National Capital, in the last 24 hours, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). During the past 24 hours, the day temperature has risen by 1-2°C at many parts of Delhi; at some places in Uttar Pradesh and North Bihar, it has fallen by about 1-4°C at many places over Gujarat States.

Night temperature has also increased by 1-3°C over many parts of West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, East Rajasthan, Gujarat Region, North-east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh. However, it decreased by 1-3° over most parts of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, interior Maharashtra, interior Karnataka, and Rayalaseema.

Western Disturbance

The IMD predicted a Western Disturbance is seen as a cyclonic circulation over Jammu-Kashmir & neighbourhood in lower tropospheric levels.

Rainfall And Snowfall

Fairly widespread to widespread light rainfall/snowfall accompanied with thunderstorm & lightning activity is likely over Arunachal Pradesh and isolated over Assam & Meghalaya during 13th to 14th February with isolated heavy rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh on 11th and 12th and 13th February.

Forecast Of Temperature

Minimum: Gradually fall in minimum temperature by about 1 to 2 degrees C likely over north-west and adjoining central India. Additionally, a fall in minimum temperature by 1 to 3 degrees C is likely over Maharashtra during the next two days and a rise by 1-2 degrees thereafter.

Maximum: Gradually fall in maximum temperature by 1-2 degrees C over North-west during the next one to two days and rise by 2 to 3 degrees thereafter. No significant change in maximum temperature is likely over Central India.

AQI, Weather Forecast For Delhi

The overall AQI was recorded as 137 at 6 am on Thrusday, February 13, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). IMD forecasts clear weather in the national capital till the 13th of February and ‘Moderate’ until today. Amid ‘moderate’ air quality, the city is currently experiencing chilly winds blowing during the early morning hours.
