After rising in temperature for two consecutive days, the temperature has fallen by 1 to 3 degrees C in the last 24 hours, according to the Indian Meteorological Department.
During the past 24 hours, day and night temperature has fallen by 1-3°C at many places over the plains of North-west India & Central India. Day temperature has fallen by about 1-2°C at a few places over West Bengal State but increased by 1-2°C at Bihar and Gangetic West Bengal.
Night temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at isolated places over Assam & Meghalaya, Tripura, and Gangetic West Bengal; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at many places over Bihar; at a few places over Gujarat State; at isolated places over Odisha; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at a few places over Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan & Goa, East Uttar Pradesh; at isolated places over Telangana, Chhattisgarh.
Forecast And warning
A cyclonic circulation lies over north-east Assam & neighbourhood in lower tropospheric levels. Scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall/snowfall accompanied by thunderstorms & lightning during 13th-15th February with isolated heavy rainfall on Arunachal activity likely over Arunachal Pradesh on 13th February. Light rainfall is also expected in Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura.
Forecast Of Temperature
Minimum: Gradual fall in minimum temperatures by 1-2°C likely over North-west India and by 3-4°C likely over East India during the next 2 days and gradual rise by 2-3°C thereafter during the subsequent 3 days.
Maximum: Gradually fall in maximum temperature by about 1 to 2 degrees C likely over north-west India except Uttar Pradesh. And 2 to 4 degrees C likely over Uttar Pradesh in the next 2 days.
Dense fog likely to prevail over Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim till February 15, and a cold wave warning was also issued for Himachal Pradesh.
IMD also predicted cyclonic circulation over north-east Assam and the neighbourhood lower tropospheric level. A western disturbance also continues to impact the western Himalayan region. This is expected to be a light and moderate rainfall in some parts of India.
AQI, Weather Forecast For Delhi
The overall AQI was recorded as 130 at 6 am on Friday, February 14, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). IMD forecasts clear weather in the national capital till the 14th of February and ‘Moderate’ until today. Amid ‘moderate’ air quality, the city is currently experiencing chilly winds blowing during the early morning hours.
