IMD Weather Update: Unseasonal rains accompanied by thunderstorms are expected in different parts of the country. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts a steady rise in temperatures across several states. The weather office has issued an alert for light rain accompanied by gusty winds traveling at a speed of 40 to 50 kmph over East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha today.
Arunachal Pradesh Braces For Rain
Amidst the changing weather, isolated hailstorm activity will be witnessed in different states on the 22nd of March. The affected states include Vidarbha, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, and Odisha. For the next 5 days, Arunachal Pradesh is expected to continue receiving light showers accompanied by thunderstorms, and lightning. Under the influence of an upper cyclonic circulation, the northern states of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura will get rain till next Wednesday.

Heavy Rain To Lash Tamil Nadu, Kerala
According to IMD, several other parts of the country will receive heavy rain over the next couple of days. The affected states’ list includes Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Mahe. Meanwhile, the Met Body predicts rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30 to 40 kmph) over Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana, and Interior Karnataka during next 5 days.
Heatwave/Hot & Humid Weather Warning
IMD forecasts no heat wave in any part of India for the next 4 to 5 days. However, hot and humid weather conditions will continue to prevail over Konkan & Goa, and the coastal areas of Gujarat till the 24th of March.
