A Western Disturbance maintains its status as a cyclonic circulation above north and central Pakistan thus affecting the Western Himalayan Region. Forecasters predict isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall together with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds (40–50 km/h) will affect the Western Himalayas during April 21 and 22 under this influence.
Northeast India
Weather patterns in this region are being shaped by an upper air cyclonic circulation in northeast Assam together with an east-west trough extending from northwest Rajasthan into east Bangladesh. The Northeast will receive light to moderate precipitation amounts as thunderstorms, winds reaching 50 km/h and lightning in widespread to widespread areas for the coming seven days. Karnataka alongside Assam & Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh will receive heavy to very heavy rainfall during this period.

A trough from north Chhattisgarh to the Gulf of Mannar together with accompanying systems will steer scattered moderate rainfall that accompanies thunderstorms, lightning, and wind gusts reaching 50 km/h across Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Rayalaseema, Kerala, and Mahe during the next seven days. Lightning activity will occur throughout Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal together with Telangana between April 21 and April 23. The meteorological prediction shows heavy precipitation will hit Kerala & Mahe during April 21.
Heatwave Warnings
The upcoming days will see Heat Waves developing throughout restricted parts of various Indian regions. Heatwave conditions will affect East Rajasthan from April 21 through 26 and Madhya Pradesh together with Vidarbha along with Chhattisgarh between April 21 and 25.
Heatwaves will grip Haryana and Odisha between April 22 to 25 while Uttar Pradesh will experience them between April 22 and 26. The predicted heatwave duration spans from April 23 to 25 for Punjab and April 23 to 26 for Gangetic WB as well as West Rajasthan.
The states of Bihar along with Jharkhand are likely to experience dangerous heatwave conditions on the dates of April 25 and April 26. Warm temperature conditions have been predicted to occur across isolated regions of Bihar from April 23 to 26.The period from April 21 to 25 will bring hot and humid weather conditions to Tamil Nadu including Puducherry and Karaikal as well as Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema.
Weather forecast predicts heat waves will occur in Marathwada during April 21 to 24 followed by Bihar and Jharkhand from April 22 to 24 and then Konkan & Goa on April 22 and 23 followed by Madhya Maharashtra experiencing high temperatures April 24 and 25 and consequently Gujarat State will face intense heat from April 22 to 24.
